Role: Salesforce Certified Application Architect
Location: Remote
The right candidate will assume technical leadership for implementing an enterprise-grade customer management platform to lead development teams through build, integration, and deployment phases. This is a brownfield transformation opportunity with authority to implement best practices and eliminate technical debt while delivering measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Architecture & Implementation - Lead end-to-end technical delivery of Salesforce implementation across multiple clouds (Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud) - Translate functional designs into detailed technical specifications, data models, and integration patterns - Design and implement complex Case Management solutions leveraging advanced automation (Flows, Apex, Lightning Web Components) - Migrate legacy systems to modern Salesforce architecture while maintaining data integrity and business continuity - Make architectural decisions during build phase while maintaining governance and alignment with enterprise standards
Integration Architecture - Design and implement real-time integrations with SAP ERP (ECC/S4HANA) for customer master data and business workflows - Architect API patterns and event-driven architectures using enterprise middleware (MuleSoft, SAP PI, or similar) - Implement integrations with pricing systems, e-signature platforms, and external third-party applications - Design error handling, monitoring, and data synchronization strategies across integrated systems
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to 6+ developers and techno-functional resources - Conduct code reviews and enforce Salesforce best practices and Well-Architected Framework principles - Collaborate with domain architects across Platform, Integration, and Experience teams - Partner with business stakeholders to validate technical solutions against requirements
Quality & Performance - Define comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, UAT, performance testing) - Optimize for Salesforce governor limits and ensure scalable solutions for high-volume operations - Design phased deployment strategies with rollback procedures - Establish monitoring frameworks and support documentation for post-deployment operations -----
## Required Qualifications
Core Technical Skills - **8+ years of Salesforce experience** with minimum 3 years in Technical Architect role - **Salesforce Certified Application Architect and System Architect** (CTA strongly preferred) - **Expert-level Service Cloud and Case Management** implementation experience - **Proven Experience Cloud (Community Cloud)** expertise for customer-facing portals - **Strong integration architecture background** designing REST/SOAP APIs and middleware solutions - **Enterprise data modeling** expertise including complex data migrations and master data management - **Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps** practices for enterprise deployments
### Integration & Platform Experience - **Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with SAP ERP** systems (ECC or S4HANA preferred) - Experience with **enterprise middleware platforms** (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, SAP PI, or similar) - Understanding of **event-driven architectures** and real-time data synchronization patterns - **API development and management** experience with high-volume transaction processing
### Project Experience - Track record leading **$1M+ Salesforce transformation projects** through full implementation lifecycle - Experience **transitioning into projects mid-flight** and assuming work from previous architects - **B2B customer lifecycle management** or customer onboarding solution implementations - Agile/Scrum delivery experience with iterative development and business validation cycles
