Job Details

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead SAP S/4HANA PP/DS Consultant to drive business process consulting, solution design, configuration, and implementation within a regulated pharmaceutical environment. This role demands strong leadership, client-facing capabilities, and deep expertise in PP/DS, including both APO PPDS and S/4HANA PP/DS.

You will be responsible for guiding teams across the consulting lifecycle, supporting blueprinting, design workshops, testing, deployments, and business enablement activities. This position is remote with potential onsite requirements based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end PP/DS solution design and delivery within SAP S/4HANA or SAP APO PPDS.

  • Conduct requirements gathering workshops and collaborate with business stakeholders to refine functional specifications.

  • Drive PP/DS migration activities and align with client teams for seamless project execution.

  • Oversee development activities, coordinate with ABAP teams, and debug code when required.

  • Prepare detailed functional specifications, test scripts, and documentation.

  • Perform Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, and support UAT/Training/Cutover activities.

  • Provide consulting expertise on PP/DS features such as Master Data, Detailed Scheduling, Heuristics, Subcontracting, Campaign Planning, and DS tools.

  • Ensure compliance with GxP, SOX, and pharmaceutical industry validation requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SD, MM, PP, QM, Manufacturing, and IBP.

  • Support capability building, internal knowledge sharing, and proposal development.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or foreign equivalent (or 3 years of progressive IT experience per each year of education).

  • Minimum 10+ years of overall IT experience.

  • Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP APO PPDS or SAP S/4HANA PP/DS.

  • Minimum 5+ years of PP/DS implementation experience (S/4HANA preferred).

  • Hands-on ABAP experience with confidence in debugging and troubleshooting.

  • Experience supporting Pharma/Life Sciences implementations — mandatory.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.

  • Experience working in regulated environments with strong knowledge of GxP and SOX.

Preferred Skills

  • SAP IBP Demand and SAP CI-DS exposure.

  • Experience with PP/DS integration to SD, MM, PP, QM, and Manufacturing.

  • SAP certifications (PP/DS, S/4HANA) are an added advantage.

  • Strong leadership with ability to drive delivery independently.
