Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates to deliver our innovative services. Client is seeking a Strategy Manager for our Site Selection Strategy Team within Site Development. The Strategy & Operations Team s mission is to be a central conduit for strategic direction and business operations leadership for the wider Site Development organization, directly supporting site selection and enablement for Client's data center capacity needs.

This role will be instrumental in proactively maturing existing processes and launching new initiatives to support the scaling of site selection and development processes, meeting Client's expanding data center requirements. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in site selection and development, excels in navigating complex and ambiguous challenges, and is adept at leading teams of subject matter experts to implement scalable solutions. Additionally, they should have a proven record of influencing executive-level leadership, ensuring alignment and support for strategic initiatives.

The Site Selection Strategy pillar sits within the data center site development organization (IDC). This team serves as the strategy and program arm, responsible for building models and conducting analyses to determine where, when, and how new data centers will be built. Their focus is on program strategy defining how site development operates, where initiatives originate, and how resources are allocated and utilized. The work is often ad hoc and at the center of everything, driving key decisions and processes. This particular role is on the data side of the organization, maintaining tools and models, including complex spreadsheets. The candidate will step in to work closely with communication, construction, design, and energy partners to help coordinate outputs and drive analysis requests. The position is critical for producing predictive analyses and supporting cross-functional coordination.

Summary:

The main function of a data analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. A typical database analyst/programmer is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database.

Skills:

  • Review and approve the testing of programs or databases.
  • Review existing databases and database management systems and direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
  • Coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
  • Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
  • Approve, schedule, plan and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
  • Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information.

Education/Experience:

  • Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data engagement.
  • Ability to work with complex datasets, build models, and extract actionable insights.
  • Excellent cross-functional (XFN) skills, with a proven ability to build relationships
  • Experience collaborating with partners across communication, construction, design, and energy teams
  • Effective communication and executive-level reporting skills
  • Ability to clearly present findings, influence decision-makers, and ensure alignment on strategic initiatives
