We are seeking a Japanese Bilingual IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and support global market systems infrastructure projects. You will coordinate between Tokyo HQ and local teams in the US and Europe, ensuring smooth delivery, support, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end infrastructure project planning and execution
- Collaborate with global teams to gather requirements and translate into technical deliverables
- Review project scope, design documents, test results, and migration plans
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate implementation timelines
- Provide first-level support for system incidents and user inquiries
- Manage escalations and coordinate with infrastructure and development teams
- Prepare and deliver fault reports, support disaster recovery (DR) testing
- Monitor test environments and manage release schedules
- Attend early-morning meetings with Japan-based teams (as needed)
- Provide weekend and after-hours support on a rotating basis
Required Skills:
- Fluent in Japanese and English (spoken and written)
- Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Project Manager
- PMP or equivalent project management experience
- Hands-on knowledge of servers, desktops, and network systems
- Proficiency with tools like Outlook, Excel, Teams, JIRA
- Understanding of system-to-system protocols: SFTP, HTTP, ODBC, MQ
- Familiarity with IT domains including Citrix, Oracle DB, Linux/Windows servers, VMWare, SAN/NAS, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, AD, JP1
- Ability to quickly learn new IT tools and systems
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing UNIX/Linux/Windows servers
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, PowerShell)
- Experience with log analysis and SQL troubleshooting
- Background in banking systems (e.g., FX, receivables)
- Familiarity with financial industry regulations and security standards
- Experience with IT customer support and vendor management
Top 3 Skills:
- Japanese Bilingual IT Project Management (PMP or equivalent)
- Strong IT Infrastructure Experience (Servers, Networks, Desktops)
- Proven leadership in corporate IT environments
