We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Manager of Cyber Security Engineering to lead our team of network security engineers and developers. This role is crucial in enhancing our organization's security posture by overseeing the implementation and management of our Network Access Control (NAC) solution based on Forescout, as well as the deployment and development of a Network Detection & Response (NDR) solution using Zeek and Suricata. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, including familiarity with Terraform and Amazon Web Services (AWS), and experience managing NAC solutions. Additionally, experience with Agile methodologies and Jira for project management is essential.

The Work Itself

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network security engineers and developers.
    • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team.
  • Set clear objectives and performance metrics for team members.
    • Agile Framework Implementation
    • Utilize Agile methodologies to manage and prioritize team workflows.
  • Leverage Jira for tracking progress, managing tasks, and facilitating communication.
    • Network Access Control (NAC) Management:
    • Oversee the implementation and operation of the Forescout NAC solution.
  • Develop and enforce policies to ensure secure network access and compliance.
    • Network Detection & Response (NDR) Development:
    • Lead the deployment and development of NDR solutions using Zeek and Suricata.
  • Ensure effective detection and response capabilities to mitigate network threats.
    • Utilize Terraform for infrastructure automation and management.
  • Security Policy and Compliance:
    • Design and implement security policies and procedures.
    • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated on emerging security threats and technologies.
    • Drive initiatives to continuously improve security processes and technologies.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
    • Communicate security strategies and updates to stakeholders.

The Skills You Bring

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security engineering, with some leadership experience.
  • Technical experience managing and operating Forescout or similar NAC solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of NDR technologies, particularly Zeek and Suricata.
  • Familiarity with Terraform and AWS for infrastructure automation and cloud integration.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and proficiency in using Jira for project management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS certifications are highly desirable.

Base Pay Range : $110000 - $180000 USD

An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications.
