Location: Dallas, TX and Tampa, FL (Onsite)

Term: Permanent

The Impact you will have in this role:

The Systems Engineering family is responsible for the entire technical effort to evolve and verify solutions that satisfy client needs. The primary focus is centered on reducing risk and improving the efficiency, performance, stability, security, and quality of all systems and platforms. This role specializes in the Architecting, Design, Builds, Testing, Implementation, Support, and debugging of Data Integration, Governance and Observability platforms.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Business, IT, and Data Governance teams to understand and translate the metadata, lineage, data cataloging requirements into technical solutions using Collibra
  • Collaborate with Application development teams to understand their requirements and onboard their applications onto Talend platform
  • Work with IT architecture and Server delivery teams for provisioning of Data Integration platforms
  • Engineering of platform administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
  • Contribute and create user documentation in support of the Data Integration platforms
  • Propose, design, develop and implement technical improvements to improve data governance
  • Maintain standard processes on handling platform services across all environments
  • Work on capacity planning and sizing of Data Integration platforms in line with book of work
  • Fixing, analysis, and solution recommendations on performance related issues for deployed applications on Data platforms
  • Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
  • Provide escalation-level technical support and system engineering for all Data platforms
  • Participating in Disaster Recovery Exercise for Data platforms
  • Design, develop and implement the Data Governance polices, controls and standards
  • Work with team members to perform regular system audit and security reviews, including evaluation, implementation, and management of standard processes in Data Integration platforms
  • Configure and implement metadata ingestions and end-to-end Technical Lineage and Business Lineage
  • Engages external vendors when needed to review vendor cases, standard methodologies, architecture and design proposals, and solve complex problems
  • Provide best practices for Application development teams to ensure quality of results and improve stability of the platforms
  • Mitigates risk by following established procedures and supervising controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
  • Provide recommendations to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of all Data platforms.
  • Participate in Major Incident Management calls and perform Root Cause Analysis.
  • Solid understanding of scripting and automation to implement Health check monitoring and alerts
  • Monitoring and managing Team service performance based on service level agreements (SLA) for Service requests, Incidents, Problems and Change tickets.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience building and coordinating large scale, complex Data Integration, Data Governance and Data Observability platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of Collibra Operating model, Metadata model and Asset model

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Experience in setting up Data Anomaly alerts using platforms like Monte Carlo
  • Good hands-on experience with managing Data integration tools like Talend
  • Experience with managing Data observability tools like Monte Carlo (SaaS)
  • Experience working in global setting with distributed teams
  • Excellent communication skills and knowledge of common communication tools is a must
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodology, JIRA, and CI/CD pipeline
