About this role
We are seeking a Mission Integration Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on systems engineering or mission integration experience, ideally in the space domain. You should be comfortable leading technical integration efforts for customer missions, understanding their technical needs, and driving system deployment. Bonus points if you have prior involvement in pre-launch and on-orbit operations of satellite missions, especially with government customers.
What you'll do:
Lead technical integration efforts for customer missions, ensuring successful system deployment and delivery.
Take ownership of the verification and validation (V&V) process across mission threads, including commanding, telemetry, automation, and mission-specific analytics.
Work closely with engineering teams, product managers, and customers to ensure seamless integration of company s ground software.
Develop necessary ICDs and requirements verification documentation to support mission timelines.
Lead pre-launch exercises, including mission simulations, operator training, and day-in-the-life walkthroughs.
Provide inputs into the product roadmap based on recurring customer needs across integrations.
Prior experience in design, development, test, and/or verification of spacecraft ground systems.
Prior involvement in pre-launch and on-orbit operations of satellite missions.
Experience with containerized deployments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes); AWS GovCloud is a plus.
Experience at startups, even if not space-related.
Python, Bash, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS GovCloud, OpenC3, Cosmos, Max GDS, YAMCS
Bachelor's or Master's in Aerospace, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
Familiarity with TT&C architectures and satellite operations software, as well as spacecraft communications and data handling subsystems.
Understanding of cloud-based ground systems and satellite operations automation.
Familiarity with scripting or software languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for test automation and system configuration.
Exceptional communication and documentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent missions with tight deadlines.
Comfortable working in ambiguity and building structure.
