Calypso Consultant

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Calypso Java Developer with over 5 years of IT experience, including strong development and troubleshooting capabilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Calypso APIs, commodity trading processes, and back-office application support. This role involves working closely with operations and trade support teams to deliver optimized solutions for trade processing and settlement. Key Responsibilities Develop new features and enhancements for various desks and operations users using Java and Calypso APIs. Participate in planning sessions, work estimation, testing, and Level 2 support. Enhance and maintain back-office applications on the Calypso platform to support commodity trading operations. Collaborate with operations and trade support teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. Implement and maintain workflows for trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in Java development, with a focus on Calypso APIs. Experience with Calypso customizations such as Scheduled Tasks, Reports, and Engines. Proven expertise with Calypso v16 or above, specifically in the commodity asset class. Strong understanding of commodities trading processes including settlement, reconciliation, cash flows, and reporting. Familiarity with Calypso's message and sender frameworks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact directly with operations users. Solid understanding of Interest Rate Derivatives, FX Derivatives, and related accounting. Preferred Qualifications Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Grafana, Maven, Jenkins, CloudBees, and GitHub Copilot. Education: Bachelors Degree
