What does this role look like?

Lockheed Martin (LM) is looking for a dedicated Senior Project Engineer to become a member of the Reentry Portfolio Integration (RPI) Office.

In this role you will:

Coordinate and facilitate long-term goals and yearly strategic initiatives meetings with the Reentry directorate senior leadership

Provide data driven solutions to evaluate and assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement

Assist in the evolution of our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other metrics/tools used to manage the business

Coordinate planning, schedule, organization, control, integration and completion of projects within area of assigned responsibility

This position requires collaboration cross-functionally, across different programs/ projects within the Reentry directorate, and with the Navy customer

Lead and collaborate with the FBM Reentry directorate for improvements and initiatives by applying engineering background to shape process innovations using engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications

The demonstrated ability to independently and proactively partner with executive leadership to facilitate the business rhythm and integrate with mission area management is essential.

Track Reentry Programmatic actions, proof and ensure completion for the Directorate

Support and report contract requirements and deliveries for Reentry Directorate

Assist with continuous improvement projects that span outside of normal scope

Opportunity to gain experience in Earned Value Management and proposal cycle

Opportunity to gain exposure in FBM Navy Reentry Risk and Opportunity Management (Level 1)

Basic Qualifications

To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education,

3+ years of professional experience with a related Masters degree,

Demonstrated ability to take a project from conceptualization and organize, plan and manage it to successful completion (Project management),

Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate, engage and collaborate with senior leadership, customer and drive execution in a program integration capacity is required,

Intermediate to advanced experience with managing, manipulating and analyzing large amounts of data (Data Analytics),

Demonstrated leadership abilities,

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.),

You will need to be a , and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired skills

To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Must be able to work independently and in a team environment

Tableau or other data visualization tool experience

Greenbelt or Blackbelt trained/ certified

Current Top Secret clearance

Experience across the breadth of program business execution, finance, supply chain management, contracting, program integration and/or engineering is required

Demonstrated strong business, financial, contracting and subcontracting, and/or engineering skills in an LM program execution environment

Strategic organizational experience

Experience leading, developing and implementing process improvement initiatives and associated documentation

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
