Software Developer
GDIT has an opportunity for a Software Developer to support a new and exciting federal program that consolidates enterprise-wide applications and platform services. This program will support the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Application Division transformation into the Application and Platform Service (APS) Line with agile based service delivery and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based service management practices.
This role requires a candidate with exceptional design and organizational skills and proven experience working as part of a software development product team. You will be an integral member of the Aerosciences Evaluation and Test Capabilities (AETC) Portfolio Office, Data & Analytics Team, working on internal design tools and systems while bringing expertise to improve the UX, visual design, and flow of these products. The Data & Analytics Team is responsible for the establishment of real-time data applications of wind tunnel operational and test data. The applications will provide data visualization to comprehend meaning, reveal patterns and draw actional conclusions, and drive more effective decision-making and business outcomes.

The likely salary range for this position is $83,429 - $72,764. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

- Mid-level software development support
- Collaborate with technical and product teams to ideate, build, launch, and operate digital products and systems
- Lead, build, and execute digital asset creation and delivery workflows, including scoping tasks, managing workloads, and meeting committed deadlines
- Determine and evolve processes, workflows, scope, and timings to optimize operational efficiencies
- Proactively manage and mitigate project changes, contingencies, and risks with all stakeholders
- Work with diverse stakeholders to develop optimal solutions for every project and challenge
- Applies advanced knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments
- Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software
- Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications
- Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements
- Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software
- Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms
- Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements
- Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management
- Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools
- Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
- Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team
