Target Range:
$175,000.00 /Yr. - $215,000.00 /Yr.
Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job
Axos, a technology-focused financial services company, is looking to add a strategic and execution-focused FVP, (First Vice President) Product Manager focused on Business Processes and Firm Operations to the team. The FVP, Product Manager will work across the product lifecycle from strategy through delivery, and will be responsible for identifying market trends, synthesizing the needs of Axos stakeholders and B2B clients, and coordinating implementation of our strategy across our banking and securities industry verticals.

This is a critical role for the product team at Axos. The successful applicant will hold a deep understanding of clearing and custody platforms, broker-dealer operations, and wealth onboarding processes. You must have an exceptional work ethic, be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, and have the ability to independently manage a workload with multiple priorities.

This role will report onsite and located in San Diego, New Jersey, Omaha, or Centennial, CO. Remote is not available.

Responsibilities:
  • Identifying core business and customer issues to articulate product needs and associated requirements
  • Working with executive stakeholders across the organization to align product roadmaps with business needs and strategy
  • Collaborating with business, technology and operations stakeholders to identify optimal solutions to complex problems
  • Coordinating development activity across multiple functional teams to bring solutions to market
  • Leading post-launch product analysis to inform improvement feedback loop
  • Proactively identifying new product innovation and existing product repositioning opportunities to meet customer needs
  • Serving as primary product point of contact for multiple internal and external stakeholders, including fintech customers
  • Delivering technology to support integration of securities and banking services across multiple market segments in the clearing and custody space
  • Lead a diverse team by example, establishing processes, guiding best practices, and developing team member skills

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or related field
  • 12+ years' experience in Securities industry (Clearing and Custody) with a focus on technology
  • 10+ years' of product management, product development, consulting or related technical experience
  • 5+ years' of product leadership or related management experience
  • Experience leading and managing Product Owners and Business Analyst teams
  • Deep understanding in Securities and Fintech or Banking industries
  • Proficiency in workflow and business process rules engines
  • Familiarity with core services functions (e.g., Onboarding, Asset Movement)
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with geographically diverse teams
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Exceptional execution management, analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to generate new and innovative ideas and translate into action
  • High degree of emotional intelligence to effectively manage cross functional project teams
  • Have a genuine passion for building software, and the dedication required to be successful
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt quickly and reprioritize to match shifting priorities
  • Exceptional work ethic; proactively and energetically drives desired outcomes
  • Mental acumen with a large dose of common sense
  • Proven ability to "manage up" and promote accountability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving the outcomes above in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
