Power BI Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking a Power BI Developer.

Responsibilities:
* Serve as a key contributor to the organization's data strategy and analytics capabilities
* Develop BI dashboards and self-service reporting tools using platforms like Power BI, Tableau, and Streamlit
* Partner with data engineering teams to ensure clean, accessible, and well-structured datasets
* Align BI development efforts with company-wide strategic initiatives and KPIs
* Analyze and troubleshoot complex data issues, including data inconsistencies, gaps, and transformation logic
* Optimize SQL queries, Python code and data models to improve performance and reduce report load times
* Analyze report development as proposed via Excel
* Address user feedback and continuously enhance BI solutions to meet evolving business needs
* Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting tasks and improve data workflows
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Operations
* Gather reporting requirements from stakeholders and deliver scalable BI solutions
* Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible way to non-technical users
* Provide training and support to business users on BI tools and dashboards
* Enable data-driven decision-making across all levels of the organization
* Deliver insights that drive performance improvement, operational efficiency, and revenue growth
* Increase visibility into key metrics and help leadership monitor progress toward strategic goals
* Contribute to a culture of data literacy and transparency throughout the organization

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong proficiency in SQL, Python and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Streamlit, Jupyter Notebooks, Excel)
* Understanding of data modeling techniques and schema design (star/snowflake)
* Experience with data warehouses and ETL processes
* Ability to interpret business processes and define meaningful KPIs
* Translate business goals into effective data visualizations and insights
* Comfortable working with large datasets and performing root-cause analysis
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify trends and anomalies
* Python - strong coding ability
* Streamlit - experience preferred, but quick learners acceptable; ability to read and work with Streamlit documents
* Snowflake - experience querying and working within Snowflake (not development)
* Strong understanding of data modeling and schema design

Preferred:
* Experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, Synapse or Microsoft Fabric
* Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation or automation

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
