OVERVIEW

Hendall is seeking an IT Project Manager in support of providing digital product delivery and support services for the management, including development and maintenance, of a large federal government grant monitoring digital services platform. The IT project manager will manage a technical team comprising of application, database and content developers to provide full range of integrated strategic, analytic, and technical support services to design and implement optimal infrastructure, systems, and application initiatives, and to ensure progress toward meeting requirements and objectives.

SKILLS

The required skills for this position include:

Product management

  • Experience in user-centered product management in cross-functional agile product teams.
  • Experience with prioritizing product features and capabilities and managing the backlog of work.
  • Ability to communicate risks, obstacles or known issues as early as possible.
  • Experience representing user needs and aligning work with the overall product vision and end user goals.
  • Experience in accessibility and usability aspects of product development as it relates to the creation of epics and stories to guide the work to meet user needs.
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of product work with the user needs and business goals of the organization.

Engineering (Backend and Frontend)

  • Experience in contributing high-quality, well-tested, maintainable code across an entire project lifecycle, using best practices for modern software development
  • Java ecosystem and Postgres expertise
  • Experience with story creation and definition of technical approaches in collaboration with the cross functional team to ensure best practices and maintainable approaches
  • Experience in maintaining READMEs and RESTful best practices and tech documentation as part of the software development life cycle
  • Training in or significant experience with user centered UX/UI design and development for modern web browsers
  • Accessibility experience (Section 508 and WCAG 2.0/2.1)
  • User research, design and content development experience
  • Experience in DevSecOps with a security-first mindset

DUTIES

  • IT Project Manager must have a full understanding of the technical approach to be used by the development team and will be responsible for ensuring that the contractors development team follows that approach.
  • The IT Project Manager will be accountable for the technical aspects of navigating the ATO process and must have experience as a senior engineer.
  • Demonstrated expertise in oversight of all aspects of a project of similar size and scope
  • Provides direction and management for complex projects
  • Provides management and technical direction of projects ensuring maximum effectiveness in the use of resources for the timely completion of projects
  • Possesses significant expertise and experience in application development, IT platform modernization and data management domains

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Experience: 10 years of IT project management experience in the development, maintenance and modernization of large federal IT and Digital application platforms
  • Degree Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in IT/Computer Science/or other related field

Paid Sick Leave

All Employees receive accrued paid sick leave at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked up to 56 hours per calendar year.

Paid Holidays

All full-time employees receive 11 paid holidays corresponding to the designated federal holiday schedule.

Vacation

Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000
