Data Scientist

Immediate and long-term opening for a Data Scientist to join a high-impact analytics team supporting power and natural gas trading. You ll develop models and tools that directly influence hedging strategies, trading decisions, and risk management. If you enjoy solving real-world problems with data and want to work at the intersection of AI, trading, and energy markets, this is the role for you.

*This role will require onsite work on a hybrid basis in Princeton, NJ*

What You ll Do

• Build and deploy forecasting, pricing, risk, and hedging models that support energy trading desks
• Create short-term price forecasting models, structured deal valuation tools, and risk simulations
• Collaborate with traders, analysts, and engineers to deliver actionable insights
• Clean and transform large datasets for statistical and machine learning applications
• Develop data visualizations and dashboards for stakeholders using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
• Contribute to AI-driven innovation, including NLP, deep learning, and MLOps best practices

What We re Looking For

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Economics, or a related field
• 1 3 years of experience in data analytics or data science roles
• Hands-on experience building predictive models in Python or R
• Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating large datasets
• Experience developing insights from data for business stakeholders
• Knowledge of forecasting, pricing, hedging, or risk modeling in energy, finance, or similar industries
• Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar

Nice to Have

• Exposure to AI/ML techniques such as NLP, neural networks, or computer vision
• Familiarity with MLOps or deploying models into production environments
