Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a long-term project based in Lansing, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting clear, testable business requirements and collaborating with technical and non-technical teams throughout the development lifecycle.


Responsibilities:

  • Gather and document clear, testable business requirements using standard templates.

  • Conduct and lead requirement gathering sessions with project stakeholders.

  • Maintain and prioritize the project backlog for Agile projects in collaboration with the Product Owner.

  • Analyze and document As-Is and To-Be business processes.

  • Support the Build vs. Buy decision-making process by providing detailed analysis.

  • Understand and manage project scope and its impact on timelines and business value.

  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, solution architects, developers, QA, and other team members to ensure alignment with business needs.

  • Ensure timely completion and approval of project deliverables assigned to the Business Analyst role.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.

  • Strong experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Expertise in creating Epics, Features, and User Stories.

  • Experience in documenting As-Is and To-Be process flows.

  • Ability to facilitate meetings and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Knowledge of data governance and IT systems functionality.
