Position Title:- Teaching Assistant
Location: Pendleton, IN
Interview Process:- In-person only

The Teaching Assistant supports classroom instruction within a juvenile facility, ensuring a safe, structured, and positive learning environment. This role assists teachers with instruction, supervises students, maintains records, and assumes full classroom responsibilities during teacher absences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support students in the classroom.
• Assist with lessons, assignments, and daily attendance.
• Monitor and document student behavior and progress.
• Implement lesson plans and maintain classroom order.
• Collaborate with staff to promote academic and behavioral success.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all facility policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Substitute teaching permit required.
• Experience in educational or correctional settings preferred.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
• Must pass background checks, drug screenings, and required training.
