responsibilities:
- FTZ Compliance & Oversight: Act as the ultimate authority on U.S. Customs Service FTZ regulations, ensuring impeccable adherence across all inventory control, documentation, and reporting. You'll be instrumental in maximizing duty deferral and cost savings.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 20-30 warehouse associates, fostering a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment. You'll manage staffing for 24/7 operations, including critical after-hours and weekend shifts.
- Operational Excellence: Direct daily warehouse activities from receiving to shipping, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency in order picking, packing, and material handling. You'll be responsible for achieving ambitious monthly ticket targets (1,500-2,000) with precision.
- Inventory Management & Optimization: Maintain superior inventory accuracy through rigorous cycle counts, quality checks, and strict adherence to SOPs. You'll strategically optimize storage within a 200,000 sq. ft. facility handling diverse automotive parts.
- Process Improvement & Innovation: Continuously identify opportunities and implement solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency. You'll leverage warehouse best practices and integrate technology (e.g., WMS systems like SolarWinds, ServiceNow, or Ivanti) to drive continuous improvement.
- Safety & Culture Champion: Champion a safety-first culture, upholding zero-tolerance policies and ensuring compliance with all operational procedures and guidelines.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with logistics, sales, and senior leadership to align warehouse operations with aggressive growth objectives, including supporting significant facility expansions.

qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5+ years in warehouse management, with a minimum of 2+ years specifically in Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations.
- Proven success leading teams in a high-volume distribution center (50,000+ sq. ft.).
- FTZ Expertise: In-depth knowledge of FTZ regulations, customs compliance, and inventory control. Experience with duty deferral and global logistics is highly preferred.
- Technical Acumen: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), such as SolarWinds, ServiceNow, or Ivanti. Familiarity with automation and material handling equipment is a plus.
