We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Cable Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in structured cabling, fiber optics, and network infrastructure within a data center environment. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and performance of our data center operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, SM/MM fiber)
- Perform cable management, labeling, and documentation according to industry standards
- Troubleshoot and repair connectivity issues in a timely manner
- Maintain and update network diagrams and documentation
- Work closely with network engineers and data center operations teams
- Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in data center or network cabling
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA)
- Proficiency with cable testers, OTDRs, and fiber scopes
- Familiarity with data center environments and best practices
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- BICSI certification or equivalent is a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cable management systems (e.g., Panduit, Chatsworth)
- Knowledge of network hardware (switches, routers, patch panels)
- Understanding of data center power and cooling systems
