RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Security Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ.
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Engineer who possesses a deep understanding of security concepts beyond the buzzwords. The ideal candidate will be able to describe how security mechanisms work and should work and provide situational recommendations on securing commonly used connection types.
Responsibilities:
* IT Security Engineer will make informed security recommendations, understanding the tradeoffs involved
* Apply in-depth knowledge of the OWASP Top Ten to real-world scenarios
* Implement secure coding practices in at least one programming language
* Demonstrate comprehensive system security knowledge
* Ensure data security across various platforms
* Secure APIs effectively
* Implement network security measures
* As an IT Security Engineer, you will apply Zero Trust principles in system design and implementation
* Implement security in depth within systems
* Understand and apply the software security lifecycle or DevSecOps practices
* Read, interpret, and offer remediation advice on code scans, prioritizing remediation efforts
REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven ability to make security recommendations and understand tradeoffs
* In-depth knowledge of the OWASP Top Ten and its real-world applications
* Experience with secure coding practices in at least one programming language
* Strong system security knowledge
* Solid understanding of data security principles
* Expertise in API security
* Proficiency in network security
* Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and their implementation
* Ability to implement security in depth
* Familiarity with the software security lifecycle or DevSecOps
* Ability to read, interpret, and offer remediation advice on code scans, with a focus on prioritization
Preferred Qualifications:
* Relevant certifications in cybersecurity
* Experience with security tools and technologies
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
