Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Silicon Test Engineer to join our Electronics Test and Automation (ETAG) team. As a Silicon Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our silicon products by developing and deploying production testers to validate their functionality and performance at suppliers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, validation, and software engineering, to identify and debug issues, and ensure that our products meet the required specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Develop production tests to validate the functionality and performance of silicon products, including SoCs and PCBAs at suppliers
- Collaborate with design and validation teams to identify and debug issues, and ensure that products meet the required specifications and quality standards
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage of silicon products
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks and tools to improve test efficiency and reduce manual testing effort
- Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide recommendations for process improvements
- Work closely with software engineering teams to ensure that software and firmware are compatible with silicon products
- Participate in silicon bringup activities, including silicon validation, debug, and characterization
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure compatibility and interoperability of silicon products
- Develop and maintain documentation of test plans, test results, and debug procedures
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in silicon bringup, validation, and production testing
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, digital logic, and microprocessors
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Python, Perl, and C++
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git or SVN
- Familiarity with Linux or other operating systems
- Experience with vendors and contract manufacturing product yield improvement and failure analysis?
- Up to 10% travel to suppliers worldwide

$80,000 - $300,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
