Job Description:
The College of Nursing at the University of Florida is seeking a graduate-prepared Data Scientist II to join the EnGraftLab Research Lab. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary, and inter-institutional research environment focused on advancing healthcare through data science and artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will collaborate with a diverse team of faculty, scientists, and health professionals across the UF campus and partner institutions nationwide. The role involves contributing to the design, coordination, and implementation of cutting-edge informatics and data science projects.

- Implement machine learning, statistical, data mining, and bioinformatics/clinical informatics algorithms for predictive analytics.
- Design and implement data processing and analysis infrastructure to support research initiatives.
- Construct big data analytics datasets for use in healthcare and clinical research.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, students, and investigators working with Dr. Lisiana Pruinelli.
- Design and implement experiments to evaluate and quantify the causal effects of adaptive interventions.
- Write or assist in the preparation of technical reports, manuscripts, and publications.
- Create and maintain documentation for all codebases and experiments developed.

- Graduate degree (Master's or higher) in Data Science, Computer Science, Biomedical Informatics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience with healthcare data and informatics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Experience with machine learning/deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in academic or clinical research settings.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical data standards.
- Knowledge of AI/ML model validation and deployment in healthcare environments.
