OpenText Exstream Developer Location: Iselin, NJ (South) / Mount Laurel, NJ Duration: 12+ Months

Experience Required: 6 8 Years

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled OpenText Exstream Developer to support the development, maintenance, and migration of document composition applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in OpenText Exstream, Command Center, and UNIX scripting, and will be responsible for ensuring high-quality document output and seamless migration processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain document composition applications using OpenText Exstream.

  • Perform validation and testing activities as part of the OpenText Command Center migration.

  • Analyze existing applications, collaborate with SMEs, and identify migration impacts.

  • Prepare detailed unit test plans and execute test scripts for existing and new Exstream applications.

  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

  • Support migration activities from OpenText Exstream to AUTOSYS tool (Autosys not mandatory).

  • Troubleshoot and resolve document generation and output issues to ensure seamless operations.

  • Conduct code reviews to maintain quality, security, and code integrity.

  • Document all solutions, configurations, and migration activities thoroughly.

  • Be available onsite in Mt. Laurel, NJ, 4 days a week.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in OpenText Exstream development.

  • 3 5 years of experience with OpenText Command Center job scheduling tool.

  • Proficiency in UNIX or Shell scripting, including text processing tools.

  • Strong understanding of document composition concepts and Exstream components (Design Manager, Command Center).

  • Experience in Exstream scripting, template design, and data integration/transformation.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable, and maintainable solutions.
