o Identify gaps in data needs and define requirements for bridging capability gaps via home-built solutions or current solutions on the market.
Establish showback/chargeback: Refine allocation models, publish monthly bills to the respective owners, and drive accountability with budget vs. actuals and unit-economics KPIs.
o Develop and maintain insightful dashboards and custom reports that empower engineers to manage their own cloud spend effectively.
Forecast & plan: Deliver driver-based forecasts (application/leadership), scenario models for roadmap changes, and monthly variance analyses for FP&A and engineering leaders.
Optimize at scale: Create automation and playbooks (rightsizing, scheduling, storage tiering, compute - EKS and ECS fargate). Partner with our platform engineering team to ensure FinOps best practices are embedded in enablement patterns.
o Identify opportunities to improve effective routing of engineering opportunities to the correct owners.
o Create processes and programs to juxtapose opportunities along with other key reports to engineers, owners and leadership for effective decision making.

o Understand cultural and systemic challenges which need leadership attention to improve overall adherence.
o Establish monthly processes.
Anomaly response: Operate spend monitoring, triage spikes, run incident reviews, and prevent recurrences.
o Establish a means to quantify and drive appropriate attention towards anomalous spend based on different personas.
Persona based reporting: Build concise, role-based dashboards (engineer, exec, owner, finance). Continuously scrutinize the efficacy or reporting and identify enhancements needed to meet the persona's needs.
o Monitor efficacy of outcomes: Establish KPIs and reports key for the finance and FinOps teams to monitor efficacy of the program.
