Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented PC Technician to join our team in Lavergne, Tennessee. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth based on performance and work ethic. The role involves hands-on work with computer hardware and basic software functions, making it ideal for individuals with foundational technical skills who are eager to learn and contribute.

Responsibilities:
Perform computer rebuilds, including hardware and basic software configurations.
Execute data wiping procedures using designated software tools to prepare devices for reuse.
Conduct thorough inspections to ensure drives and essential hardware components are functioning properly.
Manage boot configurations and troubleshoot basic system errors.
Assist in maintaining and organizing computer inventory, ensuring all units meet operational standards.
Collaborate with team members to complete technical tasks efficiently and on schedule.
Provide support for hardware-focused tasks, such as component replacements and system upgrades.
Follow established protocols for handling Apple, Dell, IBM, and other device types.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and operational guidelines.

Requirements

Demonstrated understanding of computer hardware components and their functions.
Basic proficiency in data entry and software tools for wiping and configuring devices.
Familiarity with operating systems, including Linux, Mac, and Windows environments.
Experience working with brands like Dell, IBM, and Apple is an advantage.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues independently.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Previous exposure to backup technologies and cable installation is a plus.
