Job Description :
We are looking for skilled Discovery Developers with expertise in Service Portfolio Management (SPM) to design, configure, and develop discovery and service management solutions. The role involves implementing automated discovery of IT assets, applications, and services, and ensuring accurate population of the CMDB and service portfolio. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery/Service Mapping (or equivalent tools), scripting, and ITSM/ITIL practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and support discovery solutions for infrastructure, applications, and services.
- Implement and enhance Service Portfolio Management (SPM) capabilities in ServiceNow or equivalent platforms.
- Build and maintain discovery patterns, probes, and sensors to detect and map IT assets and dependencies.
- Integrate discovery outputs with CMDB to ensure accurate asset and service representation.
- Collaborate with architects and process owners to align discovery results with ITSM and SACM processes.
- Develop scripts (JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, or Shell) to extend and customize discovery functionality.
- Troubleshoot discovery jobs, patterns, and integrations with various technologies (network, cloud, databases, applications).
- Ensure data quality, reconciliation, and compliance within the CMDB and service portfolio.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide input to backlog refinement and sprint planning.
- Document technical designs, discovery workflows, and configuration changes.
