The Opportunity:

The Website Reliability Engineer (WRE) works in the office and plays a critical role in ensuring the uptime, scalability, and performance of Fisher Investments' digital platforms-including our client portal, multi-country corporate websites, and the OTT/LMS Platform. You will combine a software engineering mindset with deep operational expertise to support client-facing and corporate experiences that are important to our brand and client engagement strategy.

The Day-to-Day:
  • Maintain high availability and responsiveness of the public-facing websites (US, UK, DE, etc.), and digital channels
  • Define and monitor SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs aligned to platform-specific performance expectations
  • Conduct ongoing capacity planning and performance tuning to support business growth across geographies
  • Work with vendor partners to develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools to ensure scalable deployments across cloud environments
  • Automate environment provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring setup, and failover scenarios to reduce manual toil
  • Partner with the Digital Engineering team to integrate WRE best practices into code deployments and feature rollouts
  • Be the Tier-2/3 escalation point for production issues across Fisher's client-facing and marketing platforms
  • Lead root cause analysis and postmortems following incidents; drive systemic improvements based on findings
  • Implement proactive alerting and observability frameworks to detect anomalies before they impact end-users
  • Ensure infrastructure is secure by design and compliant with data protection regulations and Fisher's IT security policies
  • Support security audits and collaborate with internal InfoSec teams on vulnerability scanning, remediation, and ongoing compliance for all MarTech and web platforms.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Corporate Communications, and Marketing Technology teams to align system reliability goals with outcomes
  • Document runbooks, system architectures, and WRE operational procedures to improve knowledge sharing and onboarding
  • Mentor junior engineers in WRE principles and reliability-focused engineering practices
  • Work onsite, under direct supervision, in a team-based and open office environment

Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years in a Site Reliability, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering role
  • Proven experience supporting highly available, secure, and scalable client portals, CMS-driven corporate sites, or digital channels for financial institutions
  • Strong expertise in Cloud platforms (Azure preferred), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.), Monitoring & alerting (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, Grafana), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and Scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud, Kaltura, SiteCore or similar systems used for customer-facing web platforms preferred
  • Familiarity with web application performance optimization, CDN usage (Cloudflare/Akamai), and traffic routing strategies preferred
  • Exposure to regulatory or compliance frameworks in financial services (e.g., GDPR, SOX, SEC guidelines) preferred

Compensation:
  • $80,000 - $120,000 base salary per year in the state of WA - New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
  • Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
