Job Details

Job Title: Drone Operator - Support Engineer II


Job Location: Seattle, WA 98101


Job Duration: 6 Months Contract


Pay Rate: $25.00/hr to $31.20/hr


Job Description:



  • This position is in search for a skilled Part107 certified operator with extensive experience operating drones via a Remote Control.

  • The qualified candidate will act as an operations specialist assisting in the development and test of cutting-edge safety related technologies. The role includes mission planning and lightweight maintenance duties.

  • The candidate should demonstrate attention to detail, a safety-oriented attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology.

  • This individual will also conduct limited operation readiness activities and logistics planning as needed.

  • The role will also require cross team training to support teams such as (but not limited to) delivery sites for pre-launch tasks.

  • The candidate will join a Research and Development team working on inventing and developing new transformative experiences.


Requirements:



  • 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate

  • 2+ years of Remote-Control pilot experience with excellent coordination and execution

  • Employees must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.

  • Experience leading small teams

  • Travel up to 75% of the year

  • Valid Driver s License and able to satisfy clients driver eligibility criteria

  • Work in volatile weather conditions (heat, rain, wind, snow) all within the established safety thresholds

  • Drive to offsite work locations daily (work vehicle will be provided)

  • Work variable shifts and schedules, including weekends when applicable.

  • Overtime may be required and approved based off od work assignment.

  • MVR test needs to be added to the Accurate background check- drug is not needed

  • R and D program- changes every


Typical Day in the Role:



  • They can possibly start as early as 3 am and end as late as midnight

  • Possible weekends especially if traveling

  • 5 day a week- currently crews start at 1:00 and ends at 8:30 but this can change; 8 hour shift


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience with the commercial UAS industry

  • Aviation safety experience as a Safety Officer or similar

  • Excellent business communications and reporting skills

  • Part 107 license needed- drone pilot


Degree or Certification:



  • Bachelor s (preferred, but not required)

  • Attendance as there are attendance issues
