Supply Chain Business Analyst
Location: Remote or local to Santa Clara, CA
Employment Type: Contract to hire hybrid or remote
Position Summary
The Supply Chain Business Analyst will play a critical role in optimizing Shockwave s supply chain and manufacturing processes, with a focus on Oracle supply chain modules, ERP/MES systems, and process integration. This role bridges IT and business functions, driving efficiency, compliance, and scalability across global operations.
This is a true BSA role: gathering and documenting requirements, analyzing processes, testing systems, and ensuring successful delivery of supply chain IT initiatives. Candidates must be comfortable owning Oracle supply chain modules, identifying improvement opportunities, and collaborating with global technical teams.
Essential Job Functions
- Demonstrate proficiency in business analysis techniques, including requirements elicitation and documentation.
- Apply testing methodologies, tools, and practices, including test planning, test case development, execution, and defect tracking.
- Actively contribute to improving and standardizing business analysis processes within the organization.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to ensure IT projects meet requirements and obtain necessary approvals.
- Document and communicate test results, compliance findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Assess existing IT systems and applications used within supply chain and manufacturing functions.
- Identify opportunities for system integration, automation, and enhancement to improve data visibility, process efficiency, and decision-making capabilities.
- Work closely with IT development teams and external vendors to implement and deploy IT solutions for supply chain and manufacturing.
- Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Analyze supply chain and manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to redesign processes, streamline workflows, and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Support compliance activities related to ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FDA, and GDPR regulations.
- Partner with third-party vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues and delivery.
- Address user issues and concerns in a professional, timely manner to ensure end-user satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Health Information Management, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the healthcare industry.
- Proficiency in IT systems and technologies relevant to supply chain and manufacturing, such as:
- ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
- MES systems
- SCADA systems
- Business intelligence tools
- Experience with testing and validation of healthcare IT systems, including EHRs, medical devices, and clinical software applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset with superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience working in a SCRUM or Agile environment desirable.
