As an experienced Service delivery lead in SD-WAN & networking technology, you ll join our world-class engineering team working on next-gen networking technologies. You will work with a multi-functional team of engineers to design and build next generation SDWAN ecosystem with cloud-based management, monitoring and analytics. You'll be executing technical tasks that impact our customers, clients, and other internal and external business partners. Your expertise in analyzing complex network design requirements, capturing customer intent and desire, anticipating problems, and finding ways to mitigate risk and deliver solutions from technical standpoint, will be key to successfully designing and delivering high performance network products and features. By incorporating your knowledge of business drivers, you'll affect change and execute development of innovative products and world-class user and customer experiences. You ll partner closely with multiple engineering teams to understand and align network design to meet desired outcomes.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands on and well proven SDWAN and network Service delivery engineering experience.
- Advanced knowledge in the following key areas: SD-WAN, Networking & Routing, Network Automation, Network Virtualization
- Application of Network Management concepts to manage and maintain highly available and reliable network services to support business requirements.
- Industry experience as the Service delivery lead in SDWAN and networking domain (Following is a list critical capabilities)
- Lead and execute the SDWAN Integration into customer's infrastructure based on the design architecture.
- Lead and drive the operational & deployment runbook creation and play the role of Tier 3 / Tier 4 engineer.
- Develop and deliver the software, configuration files and test plans based on the Accepted detailed design document. Conduct functional testing of the Accepted Code and Configuration and resolve all Errors identified during testing.
- Document and deliver an Error and risk assessment in Microsoft Word format for the Code and identify Code changes completed to resolve the Errors.
- Support client's deploy of successfully tested and Accepted Code and configuration into the production environment.
- Work closely with PM for creating the deployment plan and Coordinate with internal and external personal during deployment.
- Provide leadership role in analyzing customer requirements providing technical knowledge, systems integration and expertise to design and implement appropriate solutions.
- Additional Service delivery lead scope of work
- Network Assessment: Assess network architecture, routing, security, access, network connectivity to customer as well as client environment, monitoring tools and cloud services.
- Pre-checks and Planning: Comprehensive pre-migration checks to ensure readiness of each customer's environment. Detailed migration planning, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Creating a high level and low-level design - High level and detailed design document that documents IP addressing schema, customer licenses, integrations, and software versions.
- Migration Execution: Detailed Implementation plan - A plan of execution, customer audit, custom MOP for each customer, migration window, customer user acceptance testing, configuration assistance. Pilot Testing - Validate migration template in production environment. Identify a few pilot customers and migrate them as a pilot for each product type and footprint. Adherence to the Change Advisory Board (CAB) process from client.
- Post-validation: User Acceptance Testing. Thorough post-migration validation to confirm successful migration and system functionality. Documentation and verification of each migration, ensuring all systems operate as expected.
- Handover to Operation Team: Formal handover of the migrated systems to the operational team. Providing necessary documentation, runbook and conducting a knowledge transfer session.
- Support: Offering 2 days of post-migration support to resolve any immediate issues. Limited customer-facing interactions, primarily for troubleshooting if needed.
- Advanced knowledge in the following key areas: SD-WAN, Networking & Routing, Network Automation, Network Virtualization
- Application of Network Management concepts to manage and maintain highly available and reliable network services to support business requirements.
- Familiarity or experience with network automation.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and tools.
- Excellent communication skills, plus proven relationship building abilities.
- Ability to articulate technical design & architecture in clear, concise, and understandable terms to the stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Candidate will be a member of Network Engineering team, sharing responsibility for leading and engaging in the architecture, evaluation and standardization of emerging network communication technologies, products and solutions.
- This role will collaborate with other engineering team members and the business unit to set the current state and future direction of the technological landscape.
- Lead and collaborate with other members of the Engineering team in the development of technical design solutions.
- Capture, analyze, decompose, and create requirements for systems, products and subsystems of moderate to high complexity.
- Partner with business, product and architecture teams to define Next Gen SDWAN Network requirements and capabilities.
- Provide regular updates with respect to progress on tasks and projects.
- Develop and implement project plans within budgetary, schedule and resource constraints.
