Summary:

DATA ANALYST

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Analyst with extensive experience in Excel modelling to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to create complex and robust financial and data models using Excel. The analyst will be responsible for analyzing data, preparing reports, and providing insights that drive strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Excel Modelling:
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex financial and operational models in Excel.
  • Ensure models are robust, scalable, and user-friendly, with clear documentation and version control.
  • Conduct scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and stress testing within Excel models.

Data Analysis:
  • Gather, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Interpret data and provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the analysis process.

Reporting:
  • Prepare detailed and visually appealing reports, dashboards, and presentations using Excel, pivot tables, charts, and other visualization tools.
  • Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including finance and operations, to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Excel modelling, providing guidance and support to other team members.

Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Excel modelling, data analysis, and financial analysis.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of data analysis tasks.

Requirements:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.

2. Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on financial and data modelling using Excel.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining complex Excel models for business analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.

Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, VBA, macros, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of data manipulation and cleansing techniques.
  • Familiarity with other data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, R, Python) is an advantage, though not required.

Analytical Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.

Communication Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present complex information in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels.

Organizational Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of initiative and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

Strong work ethic and integrity.
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in financial services, consulting, or a related industry.
Knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Certification or training in data analytics or financial modelling.

Pay Range: $86-87
