Job Title: Desktop Support Technician (Associate Level)

Job Summary
Join our IT support team as a Desktop Support Technician, where you'll deliver hands-on technical assistance across hardware, software, and connectivity issues. This role involves Level 3 troubleshooting, executive support, and asset lifecycle management in a dynamic enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Respond to and prioritize service requests to restore business functionality within SLA timelines
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, productivity tools, and specialty applications
- Provide advanced (Level 3) diagnostics and resolution for hardware/software issues
- Support virtual desktops, remote teleworkers, thin clients, and Mac environments
- Deliver executive-level support including presentation setup and media tools
- Maintain and support network-connected printers and multifunctional devices
- Document resolutions in the incident tracking system and internal knowledge base
- Collaborate with Desktop Engineering and IT Security on deployments and policy enforcement
- Manage PC hardware/software/peripheral maintenance and disposal
- Track and update asset inventory during repairs and deployments
- Coordinate desktop, laptop, and printer installations and relocations
- Participate in equipment cascading, decommissioning, and redeployment projects
- Travel locally and regionally to support remote offices and clinics
- Generate bi-weekly reports for the Desktop Support/Convergence Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent certifications
- Minimum 3 years of desktop support experience in a large corporate environment (or 5 years without a degree)
- Strong knowledge of workstation hardware, operating systems, and networking fundamentals
- Proven customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, evolving technical landscape
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs of equipment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Willingness to travel (5-10%) and work occasional after-hours shifts
