This is a hybrid role in Whippany NJ. We need someone who can join within 2-3 weeks. The range for this role is 100-118k plus a 10-15% bonus.
Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for a high-impact team within a financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of Agile principles, proven experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and a passion for driving continuous improvement. Experience working with enterprise-level clients in regulated industries such as banking, insurance, or capital markets is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Coach team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
- Partner with Product Owners to ensure a well-defined and prioritized product backlog
- Proactively identify and remove impediments and blockers to ensure smooth sprint execution
- Track and report team progress using Agile metrics such as burndown charts and velocity
- Promote cross-functional coordination and transparent communication across teams
- Champion continuous improvement and help teams evolve toward self-organization
- Ensure adherence to Agile best practices and organizational standards
- Stay informed on advancements in generative AI and NLP, and advocate for ethical and responsible use of AI technologies where applicable
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
- Experience working in financial services or similarly regulated industries is a plus
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Knowledge of AI technologies and their ethical implications is a bonus
Nice to Have:
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe SM)
- Exposure to AI/ML initiatives or digital transformation programs
- Experience working with distributed or offshore teams
