Job Details

We are seeking an experienced MSP Field Engineer for a dynamic, full-time opportunity with a fast-growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) client of ours.

This position is fully remote, but requires 50% travel to clients in the Midwest. Our client is a leading MSP offering cutting-edge IT services to businesses of all sizes. In this role, you will work with a variety of technologies including cloud services, networking, and system administration to help clients optimize their IT infrastructure and operations.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in a field engineering or system administration role within an MSP environment
  • Proficiency with Windows Server (2012+), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Experience with networking technologies including firewalls, VPNs, switches, and routers
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to client sites in the Midwest

What You Will Be Doing:
You will be supporting clients in the Midwest region, ensuring their IT infrastructure is running smoothly and efficiently. Your duties will include installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and providing on-site support as needed. You'll also be responsible for collaborating with other engineers and teams to deliver comprehensive IT solutions.

  • 40% Windows Server & Active Directory
  • 30% Cloud Services (AWS, Azure)
  • 20% Networking (routers, firewalls, switches)
  • 10% Linux & Virtualization

Daily Responsibilities:
  • 50% Hands-On Field Support (troubleshooting, installations, repairs)
  • 30% Client Management (relationship building, service delivery)
  • 20% Team Collaboration (working with internal engineers and other departments)
