Job Details

We are seeking a skilled and proactive MicroStrategy Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our MicroStrategy BI platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring platform availability, performance tuning, user management, and implementing best practices for BI infrastructure. This role requires close collaboration with developers, analysts, and infrastructure teams to support the business s reporting and analytics needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MicroStrategy security and administration for all internal and external users including the creation / modification of MicroStrategy roles, LDAP groups, and user interface portals
Administer, monitor, and maintain the MicroStrategy environment, including Intelligence Server, Web Server, Mobile, and Developer.
Perform regular platform upgrades, patching, and version control.
Manage user access, security roles, and object-level permissions in accordance with organizational policies.
Monitor system performance and take proactive steps to optimize query and dashboard performance.
Schedule and troubleshoot MicroStrategy reports and dashboards.
Work with DBAs and data engineers to ensure optimal backend performance and data availability.
Perform backup and disaster recovery planning and testing.
Document processes, configurations, and best practices for internal use.
Provide support for production issues and conduct root cause analysis.
Stay updated with the latest MicroStrategy features and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
5+ years of experience in MicroStrategy administration.
Strong understanding of MicroStrategy architecture and components.
Experience with MicroStrategy tools including Command Manager, Object Manager, and Enterprise Manager.
Proficiency in performance tuning, caching, and clustering.
Experience with Windows/Linux server environments and scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
Familiarity with relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, or Snowflake.
Knowledge of BI best practices and data security standards.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
MicroStrategy Certification (Administrator or Architect).
Experience with cloud-based deployments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD for BI platforms.
