Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Use "Golden Images" for VM provisioning, ensuring OS patches and updates are tested in dev/test before production rollout.
  • Oversee Active Directory and DNS updates for large-scale or critical deployments.
  • Coordinate system refreshes, disaster recovery (DR) tests, and failovers for mission-critical applications such as Epic.
  • Lead resolution of P1/P2 incidents, managing escalations when Level 2 cannot resolve, and facilitate major incident war rooms.
  • Enforce Azure Policies and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC); manage vulnerability scans (e.g., Microsoft Defender) and remediation efforts.
  • Update and manage firewall rules, NSGs, and other baseline security configurations.
  • Manage complex migrations across environments or Azure regions, including re-platforming or re-architecting where necessary.
  • Conduct advanced snapshot validations and coordinate system decommissioning tasks.
  • Plan and execute resiliency and chaos engineering exercises, including rollback/failback testing.
  • Perform regular security audits, document deviations from compliance, and drive remediation.
  • Mentor and train Level 2 support teams through quarterly (or more frequent) sessions on new tools, processes, or environment updates.
  • Serve as final escalation point for complex or unresolved infrastructure issues.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Deep knowledge of Azure services: VM management, networking, storage, Active Directory, DNS, and security policies.
  • Strong experience architecting and troubleshooting large-scale environments, both manually and through automation.
  • Proficiency in scripting/automation using PowerShell or Azure CLI.
  • Demonstrated expertise in incident management, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reporting.
  • Experience with Epic system implementations (on-premises and/or cloud-based).
Qualification And Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305) are a plus.
