As a Software Engineer in this contingent role, you'll contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions. Description:
Role: Software Engineer (Contingent Resource)
Location: Cedar Falls, IA
As a Software Engineer in this contingent role, you'll contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve moderately complex engineering challenges, support large-scale planning efforts, and ensure alignment with engineering best practices and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and delivery of software engineering solutions for moderately complex projects.
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical challenges, applying sound judgment and deep technical knowledge.
- Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to meet project goals and deliverables.
- Participate in planning and execution of cloud-native solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Apply knowledge of software engineering principles, policies, and compliance requirements to support project success.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering or equivalent experience through work, education, military service, or training.
- Proficiency in Java (version 8 or later), with a strong foundation in functional programming.
- Hands-on experience with Spring frameworks, including Spring Boot, Spring Batch.
- Experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes platforms such as Tanzu or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS); familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Apache Kafka or Confluent Enterprise for event streaming.
- Experience with event-driven architecture patterns such as choreography, orchestration, CQRS, and event sourcing.
- Proven ability to design and implement cloud-native solutions.
- Familiarity with secure DevOps practices and automated deployment pipelines in cloud environments.
