Modem Protocol Test Engineer (5G/LTE) - Mountain View, CA
We are seeking a Senior Modem Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in 5G NR/LTE UE modem protocol testing. This role focuses on L2/L3 protocol validation, conformance, performance, and interoperability testing. Field/drive testing profiles will not be considered.
Location: Mountain View, CA (Onsite)
Rate: $45/hr on W2
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute 5G NR / LTE modem protocol testing (RLC, PDCP, MAC, RRC, NAS)
- Validate modem conformance to 3GPP and carrier specifications
- Analyze protocol logs and traces to debug UE/network interactions
- Support GCF, PTCRB, and carrier certification activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years in cellular modem / UE protocol testing
- Strong knowledge of 3GPP, LTE, 5G NR, IMS call flows
- Hands-on experience with Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz tools
- NTN testing experience is a plus
Education:
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
