Description

SAIC is looking a Cognitive Performance Specialist (CPS) for the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) Program at the First Army Command Headquarters (HQ) at Fort Cavazos, Texas.

This position is contingent upon contract award in the Spring of 2025. The CPS will act as part of a multi-disciplinary team that will include Headquarters and Division based resources focused upon optimizing Soldier readiness and performance within the Army's new Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) System.

Job Duties:
  • Train and educate Soldiers in individual and group settings, based upon evidence-based peer-reviewed literature, in specific cognitive, mental, behavioral, psychosocial, perceptual learning, and adaptive thinking skills.
  • Developing lines of communication within the HQ leadership to ensure the command identified objectives for cognitive training are being executed.
  • Support the Strength and Conditioning (SCC) staff by developing and delivering cognitive training programs that can be integrated into physical conditioning sessions delivered by the SCC.
  • Track Soldier/unit progression and provide data to the HQ H2F lead as required.
  • Coordinate and assist the BDE leadership and/or the BDE Athletic Trainers (AT) to develop, coordinate, and execute approved training programs for Soldiers with physical limitations.

Qualifications

Required Education:
  • Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one (1) year of related experience.

Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience is defined as developing and executing task and environment specific functional cognitive performance and health/well-being programs for groups of professional/collegiate athletes or DoD/Department of Homeland Security/Department of Justice entities focused on a common sport or mission performance goal.
  • Employment related to internships or graduate work up to one year will be considered towards relevant experience.

Clearance:
  • Must be eligible for a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
