RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a L4 Juniper Engineer responsible for defining, designing, and overseeing the implementation of advanced network architectures with a primary focus on Juniper technologies, including route/switch, WAN edge, wireless, and MIST. This role requires strategic vision, deep technical expertise, and leadership in guiding complex enterprise networking solutions. The L4 Juniper Engineer will partner with clients to understand business objectives, translate them into scalable network designs, and ensure alignment with industry best practices. This position emphasizes thought leadership, solution innovation, and mentoring engineering teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:
* Accountable for end-to-end architecture and technical leadership for client network solutions
* Works directly with stakeholders to define requirements, create architectural blueprints, and oversee solution delivery
* Provides governance on design standards, ensures compliance with security and performance benchmarks, and drives continuous improvement initiatives
* Acts as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, influencing technology roadmaps and strategic decisions
* Define and document network architecture strategies for Juniper-based solutions, including route/switch, WAN edge, wireless, and MIST
* Establish design principles, standards, and frameworks for enterprise deployments
* Lead high-level design sessions and validate detailed engineering plans
* Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance and resilience

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
* Juniper certifications (JNCIE, JNCIP) required; Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE) preferred
* 12+ years in network engineering, with at least 5 years in an architecture or technical leadership role
* Extensive experience designing and delivering Juniper-based solutions in enterprise environments
* Proven track record in client consulting, solution architecture, and strategic planning
* Strong background in routing, switching, WAN edge, wireless, and MIST technologies

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
