Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director for IT Enterprise Applications to join our team. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, the Senior Director will play a pivotal role in leading enterprise software development and administration. This position is crucial in driving the delivery of complex product portfolios and IT transformation projects. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to a team of dedicated professionals, setting the overall technical architecture and direction for enterprise applications critical to the support of Mission Technologies' business goals.

What you will do

  • Lead a team of Directors and Managers responsible for enterprise applications, including ERP, Time and Expense, Budgeting and Forecasting, Human Resources, Recruiting, Opportunity Management, Contract Management, Procurement, SharePoint, Power Apps, and Enterprise Reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with business leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet user satisfaction and operational requirements.
  • Set the technical architecture, direction, and strategy for enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate and socialize with various teams within Mission Technologies and across HII, demonstrating excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Influence and navigate a corporate organizational infrastructure.


What we are looking for

  • 10 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in Information Security, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field; 8 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years in IT, with at least 10 years in an IT leadership role, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience managing a direct staff of highly skilled IT professionals with team members working cooperatively across the entire IT organization.
  • Proven history of negotiating agreements with vendors and service providers in the information technology business.
  • Fluency in software engineering concepts, procedures, and methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of technical infrastructure needs and the ability to evaluate their use in support of a corporate software strategy, including operational environments and cybersecurity.
  • Experience in a public company and understanding how software practices interact with audit requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to drive deliveries across an organization.
  • Thorough understanding of program and project management methodologies.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously.
  • Track record of delivering complex multi-year projects that introduce major change across an organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of staff.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
