Job Details
Hands-on experience with document preparation and high-volume scanning (removing staples, maintaining document order, handling fragile records).
Proficiency with Ricoh/Fujitsu-class duplex scanners or equivalent high-speed devices that meet USDA/NARA quality standards.
Ability to perform metadata capture and indexing (owner name, parcel number, acreage, state/county, country, etc.) with 99% accuracy.
Demonstrated skill in adhering to file-naming conventions and organizing records into structured folder hierarchies.
Strong knowledge of records management procedures, ensuring chain-of-custody and secure handling of PII and AFIDA filing data.
Experience conducting first-line Quality Assurance reviews to identify missing, skewed, or illegible scans.
Effective liaison and communication skills for daily coordination with USDA staff and Government oversight.
IT System Administration / IT Help Desk experience to assist with internal technical support (troubleshooting workstations, scanners, network connectivity, user access, and basic system issues).
Must be based in Washington, DC or nearby to report onsite at USDA as required.
