Description
SAIC is looking for a Ground Systems Integration Engineer (SEIT). The systems engineer facilitates space - ground system closure for evolutionary, revolutionary, and transformational Experimental Satellites. This position provides Systems Engineering & Technical Advisory (SETA) support services. Position responsibilities include but not limited to:
Serving as the government's technical representative to monitor and ensure that the experimental satellite segment and the common, shared ground segment closes with respect to technical, schedule, and cost performance
Satellite Ground expertise to help USG Program Office identify technical, programmatic, and schedule gaps that may impact the space segment's schedule
Serve as technical liaison between ground and space vehicles to ensure effective communication and collaboration as it relates to systems engineering, integration, and test
Reviewing and evaluating the completeness of program documents such as architectural design, interface, and test plans
Facilitating the development of the giver/receiver list and monitor it through closure
Developing entry and exit criteria for major program reviews
Coordinating verification and validation activities to ensure sell off of program requirements
Supporting Agile SAFe program development processes and activities
Technical and programmatic support through the entire project life cycle including concept development, system definition, acquisition planning, source selection, system design, development, integration and test, system delivery, and deployment
Coordinating with customer on identified requirements, risks, and configuration updates
Briefings and reports including technical and programmatic assessments presenting analysis, results, conclusions, and recommendations
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
Must have bachelor's degree with minimum of nine (9) years of relevant work experience or seven (7) years with master's degree
Satellite and/or ground expertise
Proficient skills and experience using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Proficient skills using Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Proficient skills using JIRA and Confluence
Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Interpersonal and communication skills for written reports, group discussion, and oral presentations
