Location & Work Arrangement

• City, State: Jackson, Mississippi
• Work Arrangement: Onsite (No remote option; do not submit remote candidates).
• Contract: This is a Contract position.
• Mode of Interview: Either In person or Webcam.
• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with On-Call support required on a rotating schedule.

Key Technical Skills and Environment

The candidate must demonstrate deep proficiency in the legacy environment while supporting modernization efforts.

1. Core System Programming (10 Years Required)

• Language Expertise: Enterprise System Programming experience in NATURAL and COBOL batch programming.
• Database: Experience utilizing ADABAS database in a Linux Environment.
• Development Tools: Experienced in troubleshooting complex systems utilizing Natural One IDE and MicroFocus COBOL.
• Platform: Experience in the analysis, design, and programming of large or complex development projects on large-scale IBM Mainframe/Linux systems.

2. Domain Expertise and Business Integration (6 Years Required)

• Eligibility Systems: Extensive experience with automated eligibility determination systems, specifically SNAP and TANF Eligibility, SNAP E&T, Benefits, and Benefit Recovery.
• Policy Implementation: In-depth knowledge of SNAP and TANF eligibility and economic assistance policies and procedures, and current state and federal mandates (similar to the MAVS system).
• Mandate Implementation: Experience interpreting, designing, and implementing federal and state mandates in Linux systems.
• Analysis & Documentation: Ability to provide recommendations regarding system and process enhancements. Experience developing, maintaining, and updating documentation for procedures, policies, and processes.
