A client of Innova Solutions is looking for a Databricks Solution Architect

Position Type: Full-Time

As a Databricks Solution Architect, you will:

Minimum Qualifications:

We are looking for an experienced Databricks Solution Architect to join our team and lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data and analytics solutions on the Databricks platform. You will play a key role in architecting cloud-native data pipelines, enabling advanced analytics and AI use cases, and driving value from our data investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end architecture and design of data platforms using Databricks (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform Databricks depending on environment).
  • Design scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and Lakehouse architecture using Spark and Delta Lake.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and data scientists to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Define and enforce best practices for data engineering, security, and governance in Databricks environments.
  • Integrate Databricks with other cloud-native services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Power BI).
  • Optimize Spark jobs for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Guide the team in CI/CD practices for Databricks (e.g., using Databricks Repos, MLflow, Terraform, etc.).
  • Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and performance tuning.
  • Stay current on Databricks releases and new features; recommend adoption as needed.

(This role is Individual contributor role + would be given opportunity to handle the team + coordinating with the onshore & offshore team)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Big Data / Cloud Analytics.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure; AWS/Google Cloud Platform optional).
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL.
  • Deep understanding of data lakes, Delta Lake, medallion architecture, and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD in data workflows.
  • Experience integrating with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with data governance and security frameworks (e.g., Unity Catalog, role-based access control).

Pay Range*: $110000 - $130000 Per Year.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
