Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Enterprise Architect to lead the strategic alignment of our Salesforce platform with the broader enterprise application architecture. This individual will play a key role in shaping the long-term application technology roadmap, driving platform scalability, and ensuring that technology investments deliver measurable business value. The ideal candidate combines deep Salesforce expertise with a strong foundation in enterprise application design, integration, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Architecture Responsibilities:

  • Provide vision and strategic direction for enterprise application architecture, guiding product evaluations, solution prototyping, and proofs of concept.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive application technology roadmap, addressing buy-vs-build decisions and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Define and approve application design standards, SDLC processes, and quality assurance metrics.
  • Assess emerging technologies and evolving business needs to inform future-state architecture planning.
  • Collaborate with senior IT leadership, business stakeholders, and governance bodies to deliver technical oversight and ensure architectural alignment across major initiatives.
  • Mentor technical teams and architecture staff in best practices and strategic decision-making.

Salesforce Platform Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement scalable, high-performing Salesforce solutions, leveraging Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Health Cloud.
  • Align enterprise architecture strategy with Salesforce platform capabilities to support both current and future business needs.
  • Create and manage architecture documentation, including solution blueprints, data models, integration patterns, and roadmaps.
  • Provide technical leadership through the full project lifecycle design, risk assessment, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
  • Lead the design and implementation of Salesforce DevOps pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Copado, and Bitbucket to ensure automated, reliable deployments.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and data security, including familiarity with HIPAA, FedRAMP, and Salesforce Shield.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent interpersonal and analytical abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of application architecture patterns, software frameworks, and cloud-native designs.
  • Experience designing and implementing large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Ability to evaluate complex problems and develop innovative, scalable solutions.

Salesforce-Specific Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Health Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud in a healthcare payer context.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security architecture, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and automation tools (e.g., Flows, Triggers).
  • Proven expertise in real-time and batch integration patterns, using tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, and Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce governance, platform limitations, and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with regulated environments and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, FedRAMP, Salesforce Shield, BPO).
  • Salesforce Certifications: Application Architect, System Architect, and/or Platform Developer II (highly preferred).
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience leading enterprise architecture in a healthcare or highly regulated industry.
  • Exposure to agile and DevOps methodologies at scale.
  • Working knowledge of broader enterprise platforms and integration ecosystems.
