Job Description:
The Senior Project Manager plans, organizes, coordinates, and tracks activities to develop and deploy software for customer requests and roadmap functionality. He/She troubleshoots project issues to maintain schedules utilizing established processes and procedures and makes recommendations for preventing recurrences. This position coordinates deployments and implementations and facilitates activities to ensure programs and projects are implemented successfully and meet established deadlines.
The Senior Project Manager needs to have excellent verbal and written skills, be able to manage project plans, schedules, and monitors work activities to meet budget, schedule, and quality targets and to comply with established standards. He/she will coordinate requirements gathering, scope documentation, funding approvals, deployments, and implementations with I.S. departments and user groups and facilitates activities to ensure projects and programs meet established deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years experience managing IT development projects, including Requirements Management, Sprint/Milestone Planning and Execution, Issue/Risk Tracking
- 2 to 3 years experience working with Transportation or Warehouse management systems
- Responsible for coordinating all the Scrum Ceremonies and Agile Project Management
- Responsible for providing overall leadership for a project or support effort
- Accountable for deliverables and developing schedules, milestones, resource requirements, and staffing plans to achieve deliverables
- Monitors progress, and recognizes and helps resolve technical problems
- Serves as the primary point of contact with client technical management
- Provides regular status reports and briefings
- Assures recognition of project changes and execution of related change control procedures
- Manages the project resources, including customer and contractor as required
- Bachelor s degree in computer science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience
