Description

Develop, create, execute and monitor test plans for quality control and improve User Experience (UX) in Virtual Cockpit Unit (VCU) to identify, track and assign fixes for malfunction, crash, and poor performance, for 2024 and beyond model year passenger vehicle infotainment and telematics systems features including media playback, Bluetooth connectivity, Radio and Tuner, LTE network, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, to improve Human Machine Interface (HMI) (including application, service and system levels), in Android operating system, using Git, Gerrit, Jira, IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC), IBM Rational DOORS, Confluence, Artifactory, Vehicle Spy, Python and Java tools, and NeoVI FIRE, P-CAN (Controller Area Network), and ValueCAN hardware. Identify correct bench configurations for future VCU programs for Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto Certification and write purchase orders for audit and certification bench hardware such as displays, VCU memory types, and VCU software calibrations. Collaborate with Apple, Google, and Samsung to identify device side issues to improve Customer Experience (CX). Work on Apple wired and wireless CarPlay features and certification tests using Apple developed tools including ATS and Facets.

Additional Description

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related, and two (2) years of experience as an Engineer or related role. Must also have experience with: developing and executing test plans for quality control and improve User Experience (UX) in Virtual Cockpit Unit (VCU), Front Control Box (FCB) or infotainment Electronic Control Unit to identify and assign fixes for malfunction and poor performance for systems features including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, to improve Human Machine Interface (HMI) in Android operating system.
