Job Title: Snowflake Administrator / Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Snowflake administration tasks including provisioning, configuration, performance tuning, security management, and monitoring.
  • Support Snowflake users with access control, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure Snowflake environment is optimized for workloads.
  • Provide database administration support for Oracle or Postgres environments (backup/recovery, upgrades, patching, performance tuning, user management).
  • Monitor and manage database health, ensuring uptime, scalability, and data security.
  • Assist with migrations, integrations, and ongoing improvements of Snowflake and traditional DB environments.
  • Create and maintain documentation of database processes, standards, and configurations.

Must-Have Skills

  • Proven hands-on Snowflake administration experience (beyond data engineering).
  • Strong experience as a DBA with Oracle or Postgres (administration, performance tuning, security, troubleshooting).
  • SQL expertise with ability to debug, tune, and optimize queries across platforms.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices and user/role management.
  • Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and supporting analytics teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Prior experience in Snowflake Data Engineering (pipelines, transformations, DBT, etc.).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting for database administration.

Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
