Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Engineer to design, build, and oversee the deployment and operation of technology architecture and software solutions that manage structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources. This role is critical in establishing scalable data processes, leveraging AI/ML techniques, and supporting business intelligence initiatives across Comcast Business.
You will work closely with data modelers and analysts to understand business problems and create or enhance data assets that support analysis and decision-making. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, collaborative, and adaptable to a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Design and develop data structures and pipelines aligned with business and technical standards.
- Ensure data quality during ingestion, processing, and final load to target tables.
- Build ingestion frameworks for structured and unstructured data, including quality checks and reporting.
- Create standard methods for data consumption (e.g., database views, extracts, APIs).
- Develop and maintain data systems such as data warehouses and data lakes.
- Implement solutions across on-prem platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Teradata) and cloud platforms (e.g., Databricks, AWS S3, Redshift).
- Select appropriate storage platforms based on privacy, access, and sensitivity requirements.
- Understand and document data lineage and transformation rules to support troubleshooting and impact analysis.
- Collaborate with platform and technology teams to optimize data sourcing and processing.
- Support data migrations and conversions as platforms evolve.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical issues using established policies and processes.
- Apply data sensitivity and privacy regulations consistently across all data lifecycle activities.
- Monitor system logs and notifications to maintain database and application quality standards.
- Solve complex problems using reusable data files, flags, and established logic.
- Share insights and trends related to specific data sources.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; flexibility to work nights/weekends as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Role Responsibilities
- Support solutions architecture with a focus on front-end deliverables.
- Assist with backend solutions on small to medium projects and serve as backup for Lead Engineer as needed.
- Conduct software and solution evaluations using the technology comparison playbook.
- Lead or support proof-of-concept initiatives for long-range technology planning.
- Contribute to data management initiatives as required.
Required Skills-
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with Python, PowerShell, and cloud technologies
- Familiarity with enterprise-level reporting tools (e.g., OBI, Crystal Reports)
- Expertise in Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik with strong data storytelling practices
- Proficiency in Office 365 or similar productivity suites
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Strong documentation skills
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to Systems Thinking and Systems Analysis
- Familiarity with Lean and Agile methodologies
- Understanding of SDLC and SLTC frameworks
