Position: Network SME (Silver Peak & SD-WAN Focused)
Location - This is a REMOTE position, but needs to be able to go onsite (if needed) in the following areas:
Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Birmingham, Dallas, Phoenix, Jacksonville, Miamisburg, Rocky Mount

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Silver Peak SD-WAN Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of Silver Peak SD-WAN solutions and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SD-WAN deployments across 100 branch locations for our clients. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of Silver Peak SD-WAN solutions across 100 branch locations.
- Develop and document detailed network designs, configurations, and migration plans tailored to each branch.
- Ensure that SD-WAN solutions are aligned with clients business objectives and technical requirements.
- Serve as the go-to expert for all Silver Peak SD-WAN-related inquiries and issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Silver Peak SD-WAN features, updates, and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their network requirements and challenges specific to each branch location.
- Conduct technical workshops, presentations, and training sessions for clients.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for client SD-WAN deployments across all branch locations.
- Manage the rollout of Silver Peak SD-WAN solutions across 100 branch locations, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including sales, project management, and support, to ensure successful project execution.
- Track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SD-WAN designs, configurations, and support procedures for each branch location.
- Generate regular reports on project status, network performance, and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on SD-WAN solutions.
- Proven experience with Silver Peak SD-WAN technology is required.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting complex network solutions, particularly across multiple branch locations.
- In-depth knowledge of Silver Peak SD-WAN architecture, features, and capabilities.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, routing, switching, and security.
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Relevant certifications such as Silver Peak Certified Professional (SCP) or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
